Eurythmy Spring Valley is delighted to offer two weeks of pedagogy for professional eurythmists on our campus in August 2021, embedded in our pedagogical training courses. Like our other summer immersion course, we are very happy to resume offering these two weeks of in-person instruction in our training classrooms. Each course week will provide a different pedagogical focus and content for participants, working with the eurythmy curriculum for the lower grades through the lens of the twelve senses. Guiding our pedagogical refresher courses this year will be Patti Regan from Berkshire Waldorf School, MA, Alexandra Spadea from Rudolf Steiner School, NY, and Susan Stevenson from Philadelphia, PA, with other faculty still to be announced.
Each course will provide a review of pedagogical forms and their relevance for the period of childhood being studied, as well as themes from the curriculum, especially adaptable for use in eurythmy. Practicing teachers will have time to demonstrate and share materials, and consider together the challenges of the 21st-century child in eurythmy.
