SUMMARY:Summer Refresher Courses for Eurythmists
DESCRIPTION:Eurythmy Spring Valley is delighted to offer two weeks of pedagogy for professional eurythmists on our campus in August 2023\, embedded in our pedagogical training program. Each course week will provide a different pedagogical focus and content for participants\, working with the eurythmy curriculum for middle and high school years.  \nWeek One: Monday – Friday\, August 14-18\, 2023\nMaria Ebersole\, from the Aurora Waldorf School in New York\, will be presenting the eurythmy curriculum in grades sixth through eighth\, covering rod and concentration exercises for this age\, TIAOAIT\, tackling a ballad\, and much more.  \nWeek Two: Monday – Friday\, August 21-25\, 2023\nAlexandra Spadea\, from Rudolf Steiner School New York\, will take up working with grades nine through twelve\, looking at where the students are at in their development and the appropriate eurythmy pieces and forms that support students at this time.  \nInformation\, and to register: Visit this page.

DESCRIPTION:Rejuvenate and Refresh with the Balancing Nature of Eurythmy!\nIn this summer arts immersion\, Melissa Lyons will guide participants into the sources of tone eurythmy\, working with the “tone eurythmy form” given by Rudolf Steiner. Through this form and other exercises\, we will experience how we can “sing” through movement and gesture. Natasha Moss will delve into the rich world of speech eurythmy with explorations into the living qualities in vowels and consonants.   \nDaily lessons in speech and tone eurythmy will be surrounded with biodynamic gardening with Mac Mead and other artistic activities to be announced.
