SUMMARY:Pedagogical Eurythmy Refresher Courses
DESCRIPTION:Week One: Monday – Friday\, August 11-15\, 2025 \nWeek Two: Monday – Friday\, August 18-22\, 2025 \nDuring the first week\, we’ll be working on the curriculum for Grades 6-8 with Susan Eggers\, a long-time eurythmist and a class teacher. With Lisa Profumo\, a class teacher at the Berkshire Waldorf School\, we’ll explore the general middle school curriculum and the work with adolescents. \nDuring the second week\, the focus will shift to high school students with Alexandra Spadea\, a eurythmist at the Rudolf Steiner School\, New York City. \nEach course will provide a review of pedagogical forms and their relevance for the period of childhood being studied\, as well as themes from the curriculum\, especially adaptable for use in eurythmy. We will also have time to share materials with one another and discuss topics of current concern and interest. \nESV is holding these pedagogical courses for the eurythmy students in their training\, but have found that it’s enriching for everyone to have practicing teachers join the ongoing training as Refresher courses. SUMMARY:Summer Eurythmy Week:  Color in Movement
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, August 20 -Sunday\, August 24 \nHow do colors move through the human being\, and how can we listen and become this movement? Please join us for an exploration into the world of color in tone eurythmy with Sea-Anna Vasilas\, speech eurythmy with Cameron MacArthur\, and painting with Keith Sagal. \nIn tone eurythmy\, or visible singing\, we are bringing the experience of music to visibility. We will discover how we can work with our whole self as an instrument to express the colors of the soul in the major and minor moods. Through eurythmy\, we become the harmony in music as it breathes dynamically within and around the human being. \nIn speech eurythmy\, we will work with the color gestures as they weave through poetry and language. SUMMARY:Parzival and the Renewal of Anthroposophy in America
DESCRIPTION:Lecture Wednesday August 20th\, 7pm – Workshop Thursday August 21st 9am-12pm  \nIn the 9th century\, Parzival forged a higher synthesis of the Grail and Arthurian streams in order to bring forth a fresh cultural impetus for Europe. His deed informed the School of Chartres\, the Templars\, the Rosicrucians and many others working to lead the old mysteries into new forms. \nRobert Karp will use the lens of the spiritual geography of the earth and North America to explore how these archetypes are active on this continent and what new Parzival deeds might be calling to us to bring health and healing to the anthroposophical movement and the wider society.
