SUMMARY:Weaving Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, 3/1\, Saturday\, 3/7\, Sunday\, 3/8 \n10am – 3pm \nOver the course of three sessions\, Jeni Toth will introduce the fundamental relationship between warp and weft while participants learn to weave on a 16-inch rigid heddle loom\, an approachable yet versatile tool. Together\, we will learn how to direct-warp the loom\, creating the long\, evenly spaced threads that form the foundation of a woven cloth. From there\, participants will discover the calming rhythm of weaving: creating spaces to guide the weft threads in and out\, over and under—much like creativity\, emotion\, and time itself—uniting structure with expression. This workshop offers an introduction to technique and an invitation to slow down\, work rhythmically with the hands\, and experience the warmth of creation in community. Participants can expect to leave with their handwoven fabric\, practical skills they can build upon\, and a deeper appreciation for weaving as both an ancient craft and a living\, creative practice.
