SUMMARY:Sheep to Yarn: Spindle Spinning
DESCRIPTION:Sunday: January 18\, 25; February 1\, February 15\, 2026 \n1:00pm – 5:00pm \nCome to the Fiber Craft Studio to experience the transformation of natural fibers. Spindles are among the earliest human tools\, and as woven textiles developed\, spinning became an integral part of the rhythm of life for thousands of years. While it is no longer required\, spindle spinning remains an archetypal activity\, adding creativity to our knitting\, crochet\, and weaving projects. It is meditative\, requires focus\, and brings great satisfaction. In this four-session course\, we will spin with animal fibers\, primarily wool\, strengthening our skills and experimenting with different breeds to create sample skeins for a weaving project. \nAdmission: $395 includes all materials \nFor more information please contact information@fibercraftstudio.org

SUMMARY:Art of Clothing 2025-26
DESCRIPTION:Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00pm on September 20\, October 25\, November 22\, December 13\, January 17\, February 14\, March 14\, April 18\, May 23\, and June 6. \nIn this course\, we will design and sew three garments using the natural fibers of cotton\, linen\, and wool\, as well as making a shawl or scarf using silk\, to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working.
