Develop new skills and enliven your creative capacities in the company of fiber artists. Working with natural fibers, with time-honored tools and techniques guiding the pace of our work and drawing us into an intimate relationship with our materials.
The Fiber Craft Studio’s open studio days are resuming this spring, and we will be focusing on mending and up-cycling clothing. We invite you to join us in Orchard House to learn how to repair and revive your clothing.
Bring your fiber, textile, or clothing item to the Studio to dye. An indigo dye pot will be ready for you.
April Saladino returns to the Fiber Craft Studio to introduce beginner knotless netting techniques. We will create a small pouch or covered stone that can be worn or held. No experience is necessary.

This workshop is an introduction to the dye plants and dyeing projects that are characteristic of the end of summer.
In this course, we'll design and sew garments using cotton, linen, wool, and silk. We’ll draft patterns and hand-sew, practicing a meditative approach. Explore sewing techniques, plant dyeing, and embroidery to create unique pieces. Classes include inspiring activities for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artisans.
