DESCRIPTION:A Secret Drama in Two Parts by Glen Williamson\nRead by Glen Williamson and Laurie Portocarrero\nThe fourth-year class of Eurythmy Spring Valley is delighted to offer a new play by Glen Williamson as part of their upcoming cultural series to support their graduation trip to Dornach\, Switzerland\, in June 2020.  \nAs the year 1923 begins\, the spiritual movement and Society around Rudolf Steiner are in ruins. Will his close colleague and pupil Ita Wegman\, and others\, wake up and recognize their karma in time for their work for humanity to go forward? \nPart One – “Ita’s Awakening”: 3:00-4:30pm\nPart Two – “Forging Onward”: 7:00-8:30pm\nTickets: $15 for each part \nGlen Williamson – traveling actor\, storyteller\, and playwright based in New York City – tours North America and Europe with his original solo performances. He has played Johannes Thomasius in all four of Rudolf Steiner’s mystery dramas\, and his published sequel to them\, Future Dawning\, has had staged readings in New York\, Pennsylvania\, and Switzerland. With Laurie Portocarrero\, he jointly created The Refugees’ Tale\, a theatrical free-rendering of Goethe’s Green Snake parable\, and performed Aeschylus Unbound\, which Glen coauthored with the late film star and anthroposopher Mala Powers. \nLaurie Portocarrero and Glen Williamson are longtime members of The Actors’ Ensemble\, based on Michael Chekhov’s approach to acting. Both actors have toured widely\, drawing on this approach in their acting and storytelling careers. They have toured together since 2005.
