In light of the current Raphael exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art\, NYC\, we will explore the wholeness that arises through a contemplation of the figures of Raphael (1483–1520) and Novalis (1772-1801). Grigory Smirnov has worked closely with Eurythmy Spring Valley since 2019\, both as a pianist and a composer. Over the years\, many of his compositions have been performed in eurythmy\, and this April\, we will bring as many tone eurythmy pieces as possible to visibility on stage\, celebrating many gifts that Grigory brings to our community. After serving on the faculty of eurythmy trainings in Dornach and London\, she founded the Jerusalem Eurythmy Ensemble (1990) and the Jerusalem Academy of Eurythmy (1992). SUMMARY:Art of Clothing 2025-26
DESCRIPTION:Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00pm on September 20\, October 25\, November 22\, December 13\, January 17\, February 14\, March 14\, April 18\, May 23\, and June 6. \nIn this course\, we will design and sew three garments using the natural fibers of cotton\, linen\, and wool\, as well as making a shawl or scarf using silk\, to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working.
