Join us for a day of quiet looping to create a small pouch of plant-dyed linen. Using a waxed length of linen thread\, we will learn this delicate technique by weaving over a stone or a wooden mold. The stone can become a pendant\, and the mold will be removed to reveal a small pouch in which to carry tiny objects. This also can be worn as a pendant on a chain. It includes key note contributions by Karl Fredrickson\, Margaret Shipman and Jon McAlice\, among others\, along with hands-on artistic workshops\, conversation groups and artistic presentations. Our work together will focus on the fundamental change brought about by the Christmas Foundation meeting in 1923\, its impact on the world we live in now and what it means for the future. \nContemplations on the Foundation Stone Meditation will end each day.
