DESCRIPTION:Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00pm on September 20\, October 25\, November 22\, December 13\, January 17\, February 14\, March 14\, April 18\, May 23\, and June 6. \nIn this course\, we will design and sew three garments using the natural fibers of cotton\, linen\, and wool\, as well as making a shawl or scarf using silk\, to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working. SUMMARY:Art of Clothing 2025-26
DESCRIPTION:Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00pm on September 20\, October 25\, November 22\, December 13\, January 17\, February 14\, March 14\, April 18\, May 23\, and June 6. \nIn this course\, we will design and sew three garments using the natural fibers of cotton\, linen\, and wool\, as well as making a shawl or scarf using silk\, to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working. For blue card holders only\nJune 8-11\, 2026 \nOver the course of three days\, we will develop our understanding of Class Lesson Seven in diverse ways: a free holding (rendering)\, Eurythmy contributions and workshops\, visual arts workshops\, and Class conversations. These preparations will build up to the holding of Lesson Seven by all members present as a shared responsibility\, a “free group holding” in a circle. The intention of the free group holding is to lift up our inner activity in the sense of the cognitive or “reverse” ritual.
