SUMMARY:The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity in Light of Life After Death
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, December 22 at 7:30 pm \nThe Threefold Branch invites you to a special event:\nA lecture with exercises and conversation with Andreas Schmitt. \nThe Philosophy of Spiritual Activity\, Rudolf Steiner’s early work\, written long before he developed Anthroposophy\, remains one of his most important works.  He once described it as the “surest path to the spiritual.” \nThe soul and spiritual qualities acquired through training in The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity can also be viewed in light of the stages the soul passes through in Life After Death. \nOn this Monday in the 4th week of Advent\, we will together explore these unique qualities. \nAndreas Schmitt\, the founder and leader of the Annual Training Philosophy of Freedom\, a worldwide schooling path through the Philosophy of Spiritual Activity\, is also an anthroposophic physician and researcher in the Filderclinic and the University Hospital in Tübingen\, Germany. He has also established a yearly meditative journey through the stages of life after death. \nContact Melissa Lyons\, melisssa@threefold.org \nSuggested donation: $20. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.

SUMMARY:The Dream Song of Olaf Asteson
DESCRIPTION:A musical performance by Bonnie Manaças and friends\nSunday\, January 4\, at 11:30 am at the Chapel of the Christian Community \nThe Dream Song is an ancient tale of initiation uncovered in a remote region of Norway by a clergyman named Landstad in 1850. Olaf Asteson falls into a kind of sleep for the 13 nights of Christmas and awakes to tell of his experiences. Rudolf Steiner validated the Dream Song as an authentic rendering of spiritual experiences. The version Bonnie Manaças will perform is an original translation from Norwegian done by Bonnie with Bente Katya Bø. \nFor more information Bonnie Manaças\, b.manacas@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 17\, 8:00 pm \nAt the Midwinter Agriculture Intensive 2026\nA Pivotal Moment of The Storm \nThe Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble is excited to offer at the Threefold community a pivotal moment in the life story of contemporary activist Julia Butterfly Hill. \nJulia’s story The Legacy of Luna is a moving example of greatness of spirit\, embodying love in action through her heroic deed. SUMMARY:Sheep to Yarn: Spindle Spinning
DESCRIPTION:Sunday: January 18\, 25; February 1\, February 15\, 2026 \n1:00pm – 5:00pm \nCome to the Fiber Craft Studio to experience the transformation of natural fibers. Spindles are among the earliest human tools\, and as woven textiles developed\, spinning became an integral part of the rhythm of life for thousands of years. While it is no longer required\, spindle spinning remains an archetypal activity\, adding creativity to our knitting\, crochet\, and weaving projects. It is meditative\, requires focus\, and brings great satisfaction. In this four-session course\, we will spin with animal fibers\, primarily wool\, strengthening our skills and experimenting with different breeds to create sample skeins for a weaving project. \nAdmission: $395 includes all materials \nFor more information please contact information@fibercraftstudio.org
