DESCRIPTION:The Triple Alliance of the Light; on the Path of the Holy Grail\nA Talk by Alex Nitsche \nWho were the Cathars? And what was their connection to the Holy Grail? Whoever wants to obtain a realistic picture of the Cathars in today’s endless sea of superficial media information\, has a hard time penetrating to the truth. Our speaker\, Alex Nitsche\, will make a heartfelt effort to clarify some of the mystery. \nAlex Nitsche grew up outside of Stuttgart\, Germany. As a young adult\, he was drawn to the Grail legends. His spiritual journey began when he discovered Rosicrucianism through the Lectorium Rosicrucianum\, the Spiritual School of the Golden Rosycross. In 1995\, his work brought him to the United States; first to Columbus\, Ohio and then in 2001 to the Ann Arbor\, Michigan area. There he was introduced by a friend to the Great Lakes Branch of the Anthroposophical Society. Alex found a strong connection between Rudolf Steiner’s teachings and the experience with his Rosicrucian path. In 2012\, Alex joined the Board of the Great Lakes Branch as its Treasurer. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife Barbara\, an Early Childhood Waldorf teacher\, and son AJ. \nSuggested donation: $10 \nInformation: Contact Robert Birkas at rbirkas@hotmail.com.

SUMMARY:Eurythmy Spring Valley Postgraduate Performance
DESCRIPTION:The postgraduate students have been diligently preparing their evening program during winter and spring. Hailing from China\, Korea\, and Taiwan\, the three postgraduates are eager to share their culminating work  with the community and warmly invite you to their program\, which includes lighthearted and heartwarming pieces by Schubert\, a powerful Ballad by Brahms\, a trio by Haydn\, a quirky piece by Prokofieff\, and a rich  tapestry of poetry with a canto from the Divine Comedy by Dante\, poetry by Hopkins\, Machado\, Cummings\,  T.S. Eliot\, among others\, and with the addition of well-worked solos by each of them. \nPlease note that seating is limited and no walk-ins can be accommodated for this event. \nAdmission: $18 / $12 students and seniors.
