SUMMARY:Our Own Deeds Inscribed into the Cosmic Spaces
DESCRIPTION:Celestial Talk by Mary Stewart Adams\nThe Foundation Stone Performed by Eurythmy Spring Valley\nAs one of the highest festivals of the word\, the eurythmy performance of the Foundation Stone Meditation was first presented on Easter Sunday in 1924. Rudolf Steiner began creating the form immediately following the conclusion of the Christmas Conference\, at which he undertook the ceremony of laying the rhythms of the Foundation Stone Meditation into the hearts of those called to the path of anthroposophy in life. \nMary Stewart Adams is a member of the General Council of the Anthroposophical Society in America\, and serves on the Great Lakes Branch Board in Ann Arbor\, MI. She travels extensively with her work as a star lore historian\, and hosts the weekly public radio program The Storyteller’s Night Sky\, about the stories continually unfolding in the stars. \nTickets: $18 / $12 students and seniors. \nInformation: Contact Gino Ver Eecke at 845-356-1380 or gfbver@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Calling It Like It Is: Uncovering and Dismantling Racism in the Waldorf Movement
DESCRIPTION:With Keelah Helwig & Vicki Larson\nCalling It Like It Is: Uncovering and Dismantling Racism in the Waldorf Movement was first presented by Sunbridge in September 2020. The need for and interest in the event proved to be so widespread\, it has been repeated to new audiences several times since. This workshop is an encore presentation of that original event. \nOver the course of three one-and-a-half-hour sessions taking place virtually in real-time on Friday evening and Saturday morning and afternoon\, this workshop will: \n\nDefine and articulate the ways many Waldorf school curricula center whiteness and set it up as an ideal\, to the detriment of all;\nUse the frameworks of racial identity formation and biography work to better understand how we become who we are in a racialized society and how that impacts our engagement with the children in our care;\nShare practical tools\, resources\, and success stories with the goal of dismantling racism in Waldorf schools and communities.\n\nInformation\, and to register: Visit this page.

SUMMARY:A Magical Musical Mystery World Tour
DESCRIPTION:With Nick Wheeler\nBenefit for the 4th Year Dornach Fund \nThe world of music is as rich\, diverse\, and extraordinary as that of languages. Indeed\, anthropologists and ethnomusicologists have never identified a society that does not have some form of musical expression. Music sculpts our organs\, reflects our folk souls and shapes our identities. The evolution of musical traditions runs parallel to that of human consciousness. Many corners of the world have preserved certain musical footprints that are an integral part of our lineage. From the frenetic rhythms of Pacific drumming and Indonesian gamelan to the haunting harmonies of polyphonic folksong\, and from “found” environmental music to curious handmade instruments\, this presentation will showcase unique musical traditions from around the world and introduce under-represented cultures whose musical languages – scales\, harmonies\, tonality and rhythms – are rarely heard in the West\, providing a feast of sights\, sounds\, and soul nourishment. \nNick Wheeler is an Antipodean refugee who escaped from a country with five times as many sheep as people and eventually washed up on the shores of the Hudson River\, after a 25-year detour to China. After graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with a Masters of Music in Ethnomusicology\, he moved to China in 1990 to learn the language and conduct research into the music of minority nationalities that populate the border regions. Having abandoned dreams of making a fortune with a doctorate in music and instead making a living as a business executive\, Nick moved to New York with his family in 2015 so his children could attend Green Meadow Waldorf School. He currently serves as the Director of External Communications for The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory. \nAdmission: $18 / $12 students and seniors. \nInformation: Visit this page.

SUMMARY:Streams of Change: The Goetheanum and the World Society
DESCRIPTION:Claus-Peter Röh and Oliver Conradt\, Goetheanum Leadership \nClaus-Peter and Oliver will offer their experiences from the last few years of changes in leadership and collaborative leadership at the Goetheanum. There will be plenty of time for conversation. \nClaus-Peter Röh is one of the leaders for work with the First Class of the School for Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum. He was formerly leader of the Pedagogical Section. \nOliver Conradt is the leader for the Mathematics and Astronomy Section at the Goetheanum as well as working with Justus Wittich in managing the finances of the Society. \nBoth Claus-Peter and Oliver serve as part of the Goetheanum Leadership\, which collaborates closely with the Executive Council of the General Anthroposophical Society. They are at Threefold along with forty-six representatives of the anthroposophical movement in North America\, who are gathering to reflect on the current state of the movement here. This Gathering of the Movement will consider what will be needed to meet the world social and ecological needs of the future out of an imagination of what could be possible if we develop a shared sense of living anthroposophy and the continued evolution of the gifts Rudolf Steiner brought into the world. \nAdmission: Donations gratefully accepted. \nInformation: Email Ray Manaças at rafael@threefold.org.
