Apply by August 29\, 2025! \nESV is excited to announce the opening of a brand new first-year class in September 2025 that is open to all applicants who want to start a professional training in eurythmy in English language. \nFor those seeking to embark on eurythmy as a career\, the four-year program provides a comprehensive grounding in the fundamentals of eurythmy. The curriculum fosters insight into the eurythmic elements\, collaborative work among the students\, as well as a strong one-to-one relationship between teacher and student. \nOur fall semester curriculum commences with an exploration into the basic elements of speech eurythmy and an invigorating block of rod exercises\, surrounded by introductory courses in anthroposophy\, biodynamic gardening\, poetics\, and others that support the first steps in eurythmy. \nGraduates of the four-year full-time training go on to become teachers in Waldorf schools\, therapeutic eurythmy practitioners\, and stage artists. The developmental arc of the training lays the groundwork for a life-long exploration\, new levels of perception and skill\, and the ability to share the healing benefits of eurythmy with others. \nESV School of Eurythmy is part of the Threefold Community\, which is nestled on 140 acres of land\, twenty-five miles northwest of New York City. SUMMARY:Plant Dyeing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 13: 9am – 3pm  \nThis workshop is an introduction to the dye plants and dyeing projects that are characteristic of the end of summer. We will start the day harvesting flowers\, leaves\, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. As we deepen our acquaintance and receive the beautiful colors of the plants\, we experience the healing energy of the plant world. \nBack at the Studio\, we will dye a variety of natural fiber items with our harvest\, for example: organic cotton bandanas\, habotai silk gift bags\, and wool gauze scarves. Using fresh Japanese indigo\, we will create blue as well as yellow\, orange\, and pink from flowers and roots. Participants will also be able to play with some shibori and eco-printing techniques to create unique fabric or scarves. \nAll materials are included in the registration fee: dyes from our garden – Japanese indigo\, madder\, yellow cosmos\, dyer’s coreopsis\, and marigold – an organic cotton napkin\, a silk gift bag\, a wool gauze scarf\, and linen fabric. \nEnrollment is limited\, and pre-registration is required.
