DESCRIPTION:Monday\, March 3\, through March 7\n8:15 am – 3:00 pm \nDuring the week of March 3-7\, 2025\, experienced teachers Noris Friedman and Harlan Gilbert will be teaching a pedagogy block on the 3rd-5th grades. Harlan will take Steiner’s seminal texts on pedagogy\, including Roots of Education\, to work on the curriculum of those grades in relation to the child’s consciousness and needs; Noris will work on the eurythmy curriculum that belongs to the time between 9 – 11 years of age. \nThe course is part of the pedagogical training at the eurythmy school and is open for eurythmists. \nCourse Fee: $500\, plus material fee \nFor more information\, please contact info@eurythmy.org.

From 1986 to 2002\, she was a faculty member and stage artist at Eurythmy Spring Valley. From 2002 to 2008\, she worked as a freelance eurythmy teacher and director while also caring for the elderly at the Fellowship Community. SUMMARY:Listening through the Sacred Silence
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 8\, 9:30am to 4:30pm \n\nInspired by the ” listening work” of Channa A.  Seidenberg (anthroposophical music therapist\, lyrist\, and composer) this workshop explores the sacred art of listening through various artistic means.  We will first focus on the lyre tone\, known for its purity and etheric sound to deepen our listening to go beyond tone into the depths of silence.  We will also work with movement\, singing and improvisation to further enhance our listening experience.  We look at this work as not merely a musical or artistic endeavor but as a metaphor for life in terms of how we encounter one another.  It is said that to listen selflessly is one of the greatest gifts we can give to one another.  Our hope is that we can open the door to approaching that ideal.  This workshop is open to anyone who wants to explore listening in a deeper sense as a sacred act of love.  There is no requirement to have any previous musical training.  Just come with an open heart and a willingness to listen in a new way.\n\nAdmission: Suggested donation of $50 which will go to the Christian Community Church\n\nContact:  Sally Willig swillig2@optimum.net or 215-264-7717
