SUMMARY:Weaving Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, 3/1\, Saturday\, 3/7\, Sunday\, 3/8 \n10am – 3pm \nOver the course of three sessions\, Jeni Toth will introduce the fundamental relationship between warp and weft while participants learn to weave on a 16-inch rigid heddle loom\, an approachable yet versatile tool. Together\, we will learn how to direct-warp the loom\, creating the long\, evenly spaced threads that form the foundation of a woven cloth. From there\, participants will discover the calming rhythm of weaving: creating spaces to guide the weft threads in and out\, over and under—much like creativity\, emotion\, and time itself—uniting structure with expression. This workshop offers an introduction to technique and an invitation to slow down\, work rhythmically with the hands\, and experience the warmth of creation in community. Participants can expect to leave with their handwoven fabric\, practical skills they can build upon\, and a deeper appreciation for weaving as both an ancient craft and a living\, creative practice. Class size is limited. \nAdmission: $395 \nFor more information contact information@fibercraftstudio.org

SUMMARY:Sheep to Yarn: Spindle Spinning
DESCRIPTION:Sunday: January 18\, 25; February 1\, February 15\, 2026 \n1:00pm – 5:00pm \nCome to the Fiber Craft Studio to experience the transformation of natural fibers. Spindles are among the earliest human tools\, and as woven textiles developed\, spinning became an integral part of the rhythm of life for thousands of years. While it is no longer required\, spindle spinning remains an archetypal activity\, adding creativity to our knitting\, crochet\, and weaving projects. It is meditative\, requires focus\, and brings great satisfaction. In this four-session course\, we will spin with animal fibers\, primarily wool\, strengthening our skills and experimenting with different breeds to create sample skeins for a weaving project. \nAdmission: $395 includes all materials \nFor more information please contact information@fibercraftstudio.org

SUMMARY:Plant Dyeing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 13: 9am – 3pm  \nThis workshop is an introduction to the dye plants and dyeing projects that are characteristic of the end of summer. We will start the day harvesting flowers\, leaves\, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. As we deepen our acquaintance and receive the beautiful colors of the plants\, we experience the healing energy of the plant world. \nBack at the Studio\, we will dye a variety of natural fiber items with our harvest\, for example: organic cotton bandanas\, habotai silk gift bags\, and wool gauze scarves. Using fresh Japanese indigo\, we will create blue as well as yellow\, orange\, and pink from flowers and roots. Participants will also be able to play with some shibori and eco-printing techniques to create unique fabric or scarves. \nAll materials are included in the registration fee: dyes from our garden – Japanese indigo\, madder\, yellow cosmos\, dyer’s coreopsis\, and marigold – an organic cotton napkin\, a silk gift bag\, a wool gauze scarf\, and linen fabric. \nEnrollment is limited\, and pre-registration is required. Ages 16 and older. \nAdmission: $120 \nFor more information please contact information@fibercraftstudio.org \n
