Over the course of the year\, we experience different sewing techniques\, plant dyeing\, embroidery\, and other artistic techniques as we create our own unique fabric and garments. \nEach class meeting includes artistic activities that bring enlivening impulses to us individually and as a group. \nAll levels of experience\, from beginners to experienced fiber artisans\, are welcome. \nClass days run from 10:00am to 4:00pm. DESCRIPTION:Knotless Netting Workshop \nwith April Saladino \n\nSaturday\, November 4\, 10am – 4pm\n\nFiber Craft Studio in Orchard House\nFee: $100\n\nApril Saladino returns to the Studio to share the intricate netting techniques she employs in designing her own jewelry. Join us for a day of quiet looping to create a small pouch of plant-dyed linen. Using a waxed length of linen thread\, we will learn this delicate technique by weaving over a stone or a wooden mold. The stone can become a pendant\, and the mold will be removed to reveal a small pouch in which to carry tiny objects. This also can be worn as a pendant on a chain.
