His final public appearance\, the “Last Address” on September 28\, 1924\, highlighted the ongoing journey of self-knowledge. This unfinished address still resonates today\, raising questions for modern anthroposophists. \nTransforming fear\, hatred\, and doubt is key to understanding ourselves and our place in the cosmos. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 10\, 2024\, at 7:00 pm\n\nInspired by attending the  Association for the Rescue of Children conference in Indiana in March\, Stephen Usher has focused his attention on the great challenge of evil in the fifth cultural epoch.  Evil is an enormous topic connected with the awakening of the consciousness soul\, the reappearance of Christ in the etheric\, and the tendencies toward evil that live in all human beings since the start of the fifth epoch.  Stephen will address the inner psychological aspects as well as the larger spiritual questions about the beings that goad us toward evil.\n\n\nStephen E. Usher received his PhD in economics from the University of Michigan where he met Anthroposophy in Ernst Katz’s physics course. He served as a staff economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York\, was managing director of the Anthroposophic Press\, and taught history at the Austin Waldorf School.  He leads a Steiner study group in Austin and has authored many articles about Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophy.\n\nAdmission: $12/7

SUMMARY:The Foundation Stone and Its Celestial Rhythms
DESCRIPTION:With Mary Stewart Adams\nOn Christmas Day\, 1923\, the south moon node—that place in the zodiac where the moon rises above the ecliptic each month—stood in the constellation of Aquarius. \nThis nodal point takes 18.7 years to make one full turn around the ecliptic. Thus\, on August 26 Saturn will come to this same place in Aquarius—right where the south moon node stood during the Christmas Conference—and\, as it does so\, the Sun will stand opposite\, in Leo\, at the position of the Moon’s north node. We on the earth will stand directly between these two celestial bodies. The axis that is thus formed\, from Saturn through the earth to the Sun\, will pass through the very place that the Moon’s Nodes were during the Christmas Conference—the first time this has occurred in the past century. \nMary Stewart Adams will work with us to come to a deeper appreciation not only of this cosmic event\, but also of the way it can bring us more deeply into the inner reality of the Foundation Stone verse. We will then move into an experience of eurythmy followed by a conversation on the Foundation Stone Meditation in relation to the theme. DESCRIPTION:A Call to Work with the Foundation Stone Verse\nAs we enter into the one hundredth year since the Foundation Stone of Love was placed at the center of our work\, we may ask ourselves: How shall we bring this impulse into the next century?  \nThrough speech\, eurythmy\, and small group conversations\, we will seek to deepen our experience of these verses\, focusing especially on the first thirteen lines of each of the first three panels. As Rudolf Steiner made clear on that Christmas morning in 1923\, the Foundation Stone asks us not only to bring it into our own meditative life\, but also to place it at the core of our work together in groups.  \n“The soil in which the Stone was laid could be no other than the hearts and souls of those united in the Society. And the Foundation Stone itself must be the attitude of mind which grows when anthroposophy gives shape to life. However\, let us explore a path out of intellectual confinement to an experience of expansion supported by eurythmy. \nLecture: Friday\, October 28\, 7:30pm at Threefold Auditorium. Admission: $12 / $7 students and seniors. \nEurythmy Workshop: Saturday\, October 29\, 9:00am-12:30pm at the School of Eurythmy. Fee: $45. \nClaudia Fontana saw a Eurythmy performance when still a teenager. Unbeknownst to her at the time\, that performance was the gate to her destiny path. Soon thereafter she studied eurythmy in Vienna and subsequently spent fourteen years as a performer with the Dornach\, London\, and Stuttgart Eurythmeum ensembles. Teaching became the next challenge which she happily met in the United States\, Europe\, and Asia. Before Covid\, she spent seven years teaching all levels in Thailand\, Malaysia\, and China. By finding the mid- or Christ-point in such objects\, we can then activate the Christ force that exists in the world even within such technological devices. This activation serves to lessen a device’s pathological effects. \nAre may consider questions like this with us: Can this method be used to mitigate the electromagnetic radiation of 5G transmitters? Is there a way to release demons or elementals that have been trapped by technology? Should the elementals be considered when we use solar power? \nAre Thoresen\, MVD\, will explore insights into the Three Elemental Realms that he gained while incapacitated by Covid in 2020. Since 1981\, Are has operated a holistic private veterinary practice in Sandefjord\, Norway. He has also trained in acupuncture\, homeopathy\, and anthroposophical medicine.
