Register for the Gathering
Our goal is to make the conference accessible to all who wish to attend regardless of their ability to pay. The basic conference cost* is the average amount needed per participant to cover costs.
This August’s gathering—Space, Time, and the Human Heart—continues an initiative of members of the School for Spiritual Science to engage ever more deeply and broadly with what the practice of anthroposophy makes possible spiritually and socially.
Just as those already working to bring this gathering about feel themselves to be co-producers, you are now invited to join as a co-producer of the time together through participation and financial contribution. As an important leadership gesture, Threefold Education Foundation, the site for the gathering, is gifting a portion of what it would normally charge for space use, and there have already been donations made well in advance to take care of deposits and other pre-gathering financial matters. So the flow of gift is already making this gathering possible inspired by what coming together re-presences for the future of anthroposophy in North America. It is essential now that our spiritual activity finds its links to the archangelic realms for the inner strength and guidance needed for our time.
Now the request is for you to consider making a financial gift that honors your capacity as a co-producer of the gathering. There is no way to establish a fee for the gathering that can encompass the value and values that reside in the spiritual potency of this work together. However, it will cost money to produce, just as it will cost for you to travel and stay in the area for the gathering. The planners recognize that it is a significant commitment of time and dollars on each participant’s part and also realize that time and money are a real part of the deeper transformation that we can create together.
How the recommended contribution $290 was derived:
The planners estimate that the overall cost will be in the range of $29,000 which includes the use of facilities, some reimbursements for hard costs, refreshments, and materials, etc. We expect 100 participants, so the $290 is simple math. Some will contribute more, and some less. Our Canadian colleagues will bear the burden of a dramatically unfavorable exchange rate, which we have tried to account for. If each person contributed $290 we hypothesize that would balance the income and expenses. But reality does not always conform to the hypothetical. It is our goal that if you feel called to participate, it is made possible through the participatory and financial gifts of others, just as your contribution makes it possible for them. Just as we all benefit from the work together, we also all share the financial responsibility to the extent that is possible for each of us. One might say that the free spiritual life is made possible by the economic association we co-create to support it—this is the social reality which awakens community.
Please consider a co-production gift that truly honors your capacity and your commitment to colleagueship with bearers of spiritual science into the next 100 years. Further, any residual funds from the collective contributions will be used to continue this unfolding initiative.
