SUMMARY:Winter 2026 End-of-Term Festival
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, March 31\, 2026\, at 7:30 pm; Wednesday\, April 1\, 2026\, at 7:30 pm \nJoin us for the end-of-term sharing\, and experience what has grown during these last cold months. Each class has a large curriculum to tackle in the second term. \nThe second-year students began their exploration of intervals and their first big Steiner form–Mendelssohn’s Funeral March–while diving into the shifts of harmony. In speech eurythmy\, they tackled Apollonian forms while also deepening their eurythmic speaking. \nThe third- and fifth-year students worked deeply with color in the eurythmy figures\, and also with soul calendars while diving into English sounds. They also worked together with the inter-relationships of voices in a trio on tone eurythmy while also experiencing the subtle boundaries between speech and music. \nThe third-year students had the first independent exploration of Steiner speech and tone forms with their solo assignments while the fifth-year students created their own solo forms for pieces of their choice. \nDonations welcome! \nClick here to learn more and to register in advance! \nFor additional information about the event\, please email marta@eurythmy.org.

SUMMARY:The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity in Light of Life After Death
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, December 22 at 7:30 pm \nThe Threefold Branch invites you to a special event:\nA lecture with exercises and conversation with Andreas Schmitt. \nThe Philosophy of Spiritual Activity\, Rudolf Steiner’s early work\, written long before he developed Anthroposophy\, remains one of his most important works.  He once described it as the “surest path to the spiritual.” \nThe soul and spiritual qualities acquired through training in The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity can also be viewed in light of the stages the soul passes through in Life After Death. \nOn this Monday in the 4th week of Advent\, we will together explore these unique qualities. \nAndreas Schmitt\, the founder and leader of the Annual Training Philosophy of Freedom\, a worldwide schooling path through the Philosophy of Spiritual Activity\, is also an anthroposophic physician and researcher in the Filderclinic and the University Hospital in Tübingen\, Germany. He has also established a yearly meditative journey through the stages of life after death. \nContact Melissa Lyons\, melisssa@threefold.org \nSuggested donation: $20. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 15\, 8:00 pm \nA Pivotal Moment of “The Storm” and Works from “A Shovel of Stars Overhead!” \nThe Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble is excited to offer at the Threefold community a pivotal moment in the life story of contemporary activist Julia Butterfly Hill\, with works from “A Shovel of Stars Overhead: Where To? What Next?” \nJulia’s story The Legacy of Luna is a moving example of greatness of spirit\, embodying love in action through her heroic deed. Alone\, staked out high-up in the tumultuous boughs of thousand-year-old Luna the Redwood tree\, twenty-one year old Julia makes a two-year-long stand against the logging industry\, illuminating a strength of inner resolve\, flaming idealism\, and depth of courage that redirects the course of outer events. \n“The Storm” is surrounded with excerpts from our evening program “A Shovel of Stars Overhead: Where To? What Next?” with poetry and music from Whitman to Hughes\, Dvorak to Cowell and Smirnov. \nTickets at the Door: $20 (regular)\, $12 (students & seniors). Cash or check payable to Eurythmy Spring Valley \nClick here to learn more! \nFor additional information about the course\, please email marta@eurythmy.org.

SUMMARY:Soil\, Compost\, Cover Crops & Seed Saving Basics
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 8\, 9 am-5 pm \nOn a biodynamic farm we strive to create from the farm what the farm needs to thrive into the future. Building soil through cover-cropping\, making and applying your own compost\, and saving your own seeds supports a developing farm individually. In the classroom\, Mac Mead explores the relationship of soil science and spiritual science. In the garden\, we handle composts of different materials and maturities\, build compost piles\, make potting soil mix\, and treat compost piles with the biodynamic preparations. Megan Durney presents hands-on seed saving basics; vital knowledge for the future of our food supply and the health of our farms and communities. https://threefoldcommunityfarm.org/event/soil-compost-seed-saving-2025/ \nAdmission: $125 \nFor more information hello@threefoldcommunityfarm.org or call: 845-352-5020 ext 120
