The Applied Arts Program, a professional development opportunity for Waldorf handwork teachers and aspiring teachers, explores the art, philosophy, practice and pedagogy of teaching handwork. In their time together, students and teachers form a learning community that supports their artistic development as well as their spiritual and practical striving.
Registration Is Now Open for the 12th Cycle
The course meets in the Fiber Craft Studio on the Threefold campus for two weeks each summer and one week each winter for four years. The first year of AAP12 will meet June 21-July 2, 2021 and March 7-11, 2022. Each session meets full time, Monday-Friday, covering five basic curricular areas: Basic Foundations of Anthroposophy, Child Development and Waldorf Education, Waldorf Handwork Curriculum, The Arts, and The Fiber Crafts.
