This two-day course offered by the Fiber Craft Studio is designed to prepare handwork teachers to teach woodwork in grades 4-8. This is not a project-oriented course. Instead, instruction will introduce students to the sound, safe, and effective use of traditional tools and techniques for the teaching of woodwork projects.
Mario Rodriguez has been a furniture designer and maker, teacher, and writer/author for over 35 years. He has operated a custom woodworking business, renovated buildings, taught in the restoration program at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and served as a contributing editor for Fine Woodworking magazine. Mario currently teaches woodworking at the Philadelphia Waldorf School to grades 4-8 and still maintains a private studio for his furniture making, writing projects, and private instruction.
