Aurica Mundi Chorus with Orchestra
Director and conductor Martin Silvan brings his chorus of 40 singers and a 27-piece orchestra to perform Mozart’s Requiem. A remarkable assembly of instrumentalists and choral friends, Aurica Mundi incorporates professionals, a well-established community choir, and young singers and musicians. Martin Silvan’s conducting brings a bright and direct interpretation of Mozart’s classic mass.
Columbia County-based Aurica Mundi is a community vocal ensemble that enjoys working with music of all genres and generally sings a capella. For this production they have gathered together an orchestra including professionals, semi-professionals, and students; this will be this company’s fifth and final performance of Mozart’s Requiem.
Proceeds benefit Eurythmy Spring Valley’s fourth-year graduation trip to Dornach.
