Join Laura Montano, fiber artist and handwork teacher, for a morning at the studio exploring hand-crafted jewelry made with plant-dyed silk thread, fabrics, and jewels.
Together we will explore reusing and recycling plant-dyed silk and other natural materials to make necklaces and bracelets. We will also explore simple embroidery and knot techniques to make a talisman.
Laura Montano is a fiber artist who has exhibited in New York City, where she has been teaching applied arts for over 15 years. She is a faculty member of the Applied Arts Program, Sheep to Shawl, and Renewal Course.
Fee: $40 includes all materials.
