Plant Dyeing Workshop with Miho Suzuki

This plant dye workshop will highlight the plants and dyeing projects that are especially characteristic of fall. The day will start with an end-of-season harvest of flowers, leaves, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. As we deepen our acquaintance with the dye plants, you will feel their healing energy as we receive the beautiful colors from nature.

Back at the Studio, we will dye a variety of natural materials with our harvest from the garden:

• 10″x10″ heavy cotton
• 10″x10″ heavy linen (natural gray color)
• 11″x11″ silk handkerchief (hemmed)
• 14″x72″ wool gauze scarf

There will also be an opportunity to play with some shibori techniques to create your own unique fabric or scarves.
