An informal litter clean-up gathering in Chestnut Ridge. We’ll remove unsightly garbage along roadways, protecting our local waterways against litter, especially plastics, that enter our storm drains. Clean Streets = Clean Streams.
Who: Everyone welcome! Please invite your family members and neighbors.
Location: Green Meadow Waldorf School Parking Lot (Chestnut Ridge Road entrance).
Schedule: Gather at 10:30 for coffee, set out to pick up litter at 10:45. We can do a lot of good in a short amount of time, even an hour or two. Folks are welcome to come and go as their schedule allows.
Plan: We will walk the loop: Chestnut Ridge Road to Red Schoolhouse Road to Summit Road back to Chestnut Ridge Road. If you have a different location you’d like to cover, maybe in front of your home, that’s fine too. The point is to pick-up litter anywhere in our community. Trash/recycle bags and disposable gloves will be provided.
