Steve is co-founder and faculty chair at the Berkshire Waldorf High School in Stockbridge, MA, where he teaches history and art. He is also a former teacher and administrator at the Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School and the Waldorf School of Garden City, the high school from which he graduated. Steve is a longtime member of the Sunbridge Institute Elementary Program faculty. He has taught history of education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and human development at the City University of New York. He is the author of The Story of Waldorf Education in the U.S.: Past Present and Future. He writes, lectures and consults with Waldorf schools on teaching and administration.
