In these three sessions, we will continue the ongoing Poetics curriculum by examining the life and work of John Milton (1608–1674), one of the most significant figures in English literature. The course will explore Milton’s work through the lens of his biography, the historical context of his times, and examples of his poetry. Through an examination of his life and work, we will seek insight into the evolution of consciousness and the place of poetry in humanity’s unfolding story.
Course Fee: $60 for the whole series (or $20 per session)
