Presentation by Grigory Smirnov

A composer’s outlook on the mystery of music creation and musical expression. Music as a form of higher communication and spiritual activity. The evening will focus on Grigory Smirnov’s work Chaconne for cello and piano (2013), which explores the dualism of melody and harmony as an expression of the relation of the individual to the environment. This presentation will include a live performance and a special guided listening journey through the musical composition.
Grigory Smirnov is a composer and pianist working with Eurythmy Spring Valley. His music has been performed worldwide on major stages. He will be joined by the cellist Christoph Grieder.
