The Twelve Senses: Sensing Justice in the Encounter

How do we encounter justice and foster a sense of responsibility as we navigate the realms of the self, the world, and our fellow human beings? How can a better understanding of the working of our twelve senses lead to insights that create a foundation for justice?

The twelfth and highest sense is the ability to live into the I-being of another person – for one human being to be able to truly and fully perceive another. An individual whose twelve senses are fully developed could instantly perceive another person’s experience of inequity and injustice, free from judgment or self-interest.

In this conference, presenters and participants from around the world will gather on Zoom to explore and discuss how awareness and understanding of the concepts of the twelve senses can lead humanity toward a society that is free from injustice in all its forms.

The conference is organized around the question of justice in relation to the objects of our senses: the self, the outer world, and the other human being. Daily keynote talks by Joan Sleigh (South Africa), Dr. Lakshmi Prasanna (India), Jean-Michel Florin (France), and Michael Kokinos (Australia) bring these leading thoughts to life through the speakers’ experiences in education, the medical and healing arts, and biodynamic agriculture. Panel discussions will allow participants to meet the speakers in a more informal setting, and to engage in open conversation.

Attendees can choose from thirty hours of workshops organized around themes including “Action and Service in the World,” “Education and Healing,” “Justice: A Sense for the Truth,” “Therapeutics,” and “Education, Technology, and Freedom.” Workshop presenters include Jane Swain, Richard Steel, Kait Ziegler, Carrie Schuchardt, Jaimen McMillan, Angie Foster, Dottie Zold, Frank Agrama, and many more.

Conference participants from around the world will meet each other and share their experiences through group singing and eurythmy, guided experiential orientations, and open meetups and salon time.
