Youth Programming: Winter Farm Arts

The Pfeiffer Center Garden

Our Winter youth sessions introduce farm arts skills that inspire and renew the gardeners’ creative spirit during the quieter months of the year. Each week, students engage in activities (and take home projects) that are connected to the work of the farm. Classes for ages 2.5 - 14!

Practical Training in Biodynamics

The Pfeiffer Center Garden

Learn and practice biodynamic agriculture on the oldest biodynamically stewarded and cultivated land in North America. Richly embedded within the Threefold Community in Spring Valley, NY, The Pfeiffer Center’s one-year, part-time practical training enables farmers and gardeners of any variety and experience level to put Rudolf Steiner’s agriculture lectures into practice.

Craig Holdrege guides us in observing the living dynamic qualities of plants & animals to better understand the world around us. Sherry Wildfeuer shares how the Stella Natura planting calendar is created, what it tells us, and how we can use it to learn to work with nature’s rhythms and forces.

The Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble has just returned from a three-week tour to California and Texas! For this last evening program performance of the school year, they are excited to preview a pivotal moment in the life story of contemporary activist Julia Butterfly Hill, with works from "A Shovel of Stars."
