A Lecture with Andrew Linnell

The three Masonic ideals of wisdom, beauty, and strength can be found in the Renaissance artists Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo. Andrew Linnell will explore samples of their paintings in the light of anthroposophy. He will flesh this out with biographical insights from the works of Rudolf Steiner and from his own work.

Andrew Linnell is author of the art history books The Hidden Heretic of the Renaissance: Leonardo and Why Leonardo Abandoned His Adoration. A graduate of the University of Michigan (MSE ’73), his professional career was in the computer industry where he was a CTO and VP. He studied art history with William Mann at Emerson College, Sussex, England. He is a member of the Anthroposophical Society since 1979 and past president of the Boston Branch. He is co-founder of MysTech and thechristianmysteries.com.
