In this free community workshop, Chris Marlow will share how to mend knit wool items. Bring your favorite sweater, scarf, and socks back to life! Pre-registration is not required for this free event. Bring a knit wool item that needs repair.
In this four-session course with Chris Marlow, we will learn — by doing — how to prepare and spin wool fiber. Starting with a raw fleece from local Jacob sheep, we will wash the wool, card it, and spin it using a drop spindle. In the final class, we will bring color to our yarn using natural dyes from the Fiber Craft Studio's dye garden.
This Valentine's Day, show someone special how much you care with a charming card you made by hand with your friends from the Fiber Craft Studio.

This workshop will explore making a five-inch agave broom and a twelve-inch corn broom using an ancient technique. These beautiful brooms can be used as a table sweeper, medicine lymph brush, altarpiece, or beautiful art for the wall.
With Judith Symonds. In this three-session course for beginners, we will use 12 x 16” lap looms to learn the what, why, and how of warp and weft. Students will complete several small projects, and acquire the skills needed to continue exploring tapestry weaving on their own.
