Using the decorative star stitch pattern and organic merino yarn plant-dyed at the Fiber Craft Studio, we will create a long wraparound cowl with three colors. Workshop participants will select their three colors from a wide selection available at the Studio. The resulting piece will be soft and light, yet warming. This two-part workshop meets on Sunday, March 26 and April 2, 2:00-4:00pm.
With Barbara Renold and Jennifer Kleinbach The Steiner School of Speech Arts offers one-week intensive blocks as an introduction to the artistic forming of speech through Rudolf Steiner’s exercises in articulation and breathing. 2023 Intensive dates are: January 2-7, February 20-25, and April 10-15.
A welcoming and safe community for parents with very young ones to share the joys and mysteries. Tea and light snacks are served for parents. Together, through our observation, we’ll learn to trust and respect the wisdom of our babies. We’ll also learn simple songs and games to strengthen the bond between a caregiver and a baby. Four in-person classes: April 11 and 25, May 9 and 12.
Expectant parents as well as guardians or caregivers are welcome. With Rudolf Steiner’s Twelve Senses as our framework – and drawing deeply on our own inner resources – we will learn to trust and respect the wisdom of our babies. With regard to practical care, we will draw primarily from the approaches of Dr. Emmi Pikler and Madga Gerber (RIE). Four virtual classes: April 18, May 2, 16, and 30.
With Keelah Helwig & Vicki Larson This workshop will define the ways many Waldorf school curricula center whiteness, use the frameworks of racial identity formation and biography work to better understand how we become who we are in a racialized society, and share practical tools, resources, and success stories with the goal of dismantling racism in Waldorf schools and communities.
This workshop with Mac Mead is for anyone who wants to start a vegetable garden, incorporating basic skills for new gardeners. Participants will walk away with the information and hands-on experience they need to get started this spring in their own garden.

With Laura Summer In the Synoptic Gospels, Christ’s disciples are told that they will see the Risen Christ “in Galilee.” We will explore what this could mean for us through various artistic modalities in the context of the last chapter of the Gospel of John where we find the disciples meeting Christ in Galilee.
This course will be taught remotely in real time. Open to current and prospective early childhood educators, parents, grandparents, and caregivers, you’ll explore the essential elements of Waldorf early childhood education.
