Discover the art of the spoken word in this two-hour, lively hands-on class. We'll start with the foundations of speech formation, freeing the breath and sharpening articulation, then explore through play how Spacial Dynamics and the Chekhov Technique bring speech to life with energy, presence, and movement.
In this course, we design and sew three garments using natural fibers of cotton, linen, and wool, and make a shawl or scarf using silk to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working.
