A Talk by Bella Freuman. Hanukkah is celebrated on the eve of the 25th of Kislev and Christmas on the eve of the 25th of December. Is there a connection? Yes! We will go far back in time to the beginning, when the light touched human consciousness for the first time and forgave them their sins.
These special presentations of The Shepherds Play are being organized to enable this beloved community tradition to sound in the 2020 Advent season. The tableau-style presentations will separate the singing and acting, and are designed to facilitate social distancing. Three presentations are scheduled in order to allow as many people as possible to experience this Christmas tradition.
