From March 3-7, 2025, Noris Friedman and Harlan Gilbert will lead a pedagogy block on 3rd-5th grades. Harlan will explore Steiner’s key texts to shape the curriculum around child development, while Noris will focus on the eurythmy curriculum for ages 9-11.
Annelies Davidson began performing & teaching in adult education in 1975 in London, England. She continued that work 1986- 2002 as a faculty member & stage artist at Eurythmy Spring Valley. She was active 2002-2008 as a freelance eurythmy teacher & director in different settings in Chestnut Ridge, NY, & abroad while caring for the old & dying, when time allowed, at the Fellowship Community also in Chestnut Ridge, NY. In 2008, she rejoined the faculty of Eurythmy Spring Valley. At the age of 70, Annelies retired to the Netherlands but still returns each year for a month to Eurythmy Spring Valley to teach.

Over the course of four years of study, students in the 12th cycle of the Applied Arts Program have designed and created, sewn, knitted, woven, and crocheted projects reflecting the Waldorf school curriculum, while practicing handwork as a spiritual, artistic, and practical anthroposophical activity. Come join us in the Threefold Auditorium foyer to admire their beautiful achievements in fiber arts!
Join us for a full morning experience of the harmonizing and healing power of eurythmy. This is an intensive half-day of eurythmy to enter the world of poetry and music, and to discover new vistas and insights into oneself—a first introduction for those considering a part-time Frontier or full-time eurythmy training, or for anyone just interested in a eurythmy immersion.
In this course, we'll design and sew garments using cotton, linen, wool, and silk. We’ll draft patterns and hand-sew, practicing a meditative approach. Explore sewing techniques, plant dyeing, and embroidery to create unique pieces. Classes include inspiring activities for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artisans.
