Soil,Seed & Self-Sufficiency
On a biodynamic farm we strive to create from the farm what the farm needs to thrive into the future. Building soil through cover-cropping, making and applying your own compost, and saving your own seeds supports a developing farm individually.
Sheep to Shawl
This year’s course will take place on one Saturday a month, over eight months. We will wash and card raw wool, learn how to spin on a spindle, and practice techniques for controlling the quality of the yarn. We will have a chance to dye some of our wool and create a small knitted or crocheted project.
Voice, Gesture, Space: An Open Speech Class with Carley Horan
Discover the art of the spoken word in this two-hour, lively hands-on class. We'll start with the foundations of speech formation, freeing the breath and sharpening articulation, then explore through play how Spacial Dynamics and the Chekhov Technique bring speech to life with energy, presence, and movement.
All Souls Festival
An offering of music, eurythmy, poetry and a speech chorus, with a festival address by Kenneth Kilb. Karl Fredrickson will read the names of community members who have died in the past year. Please arrive on time and enter the hall quietly. Due to the nature of this event, the doors will be closed when the program begins.
