Knitting a Pair of Socks

Fiber Craft Studio: Spindle Spinning

In this four-session course with Chris Marlow, we will learn — by doing — how to prepare and spin wool fiber. Starting with a raw fleece from local Jacob sheep, we will wash the wool, card it, and spin it using a drop spindle. In the final class, we will bring color to our yarn using natural dyes from the Fiber Craft Studio's dye garden.

Handcrafted Broom Workshop with Poliana Danila

Harvesting Fall Colors

This plant dye workshop will highlight the plants and dyeing projects that are especially characteristic of fall. The day will start with an end-of-season harvest of flowers, leaves, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. With Nao Motomatsu & Miho Suzuki Three workshops to introduce two very different styles of embroidery (sashiko and seed stitch).
