This workshop will explore making a five-inch agave broom and a twelve-inch corn broom using an ancient technique. These beautiful brooms can be used as a table sweeper, medicine lymph brush, altarpiece, or beautiful art for the wall.
With Judith Symonds. In this three-session course for beginners, we will use 12 x 16” lap looms to learn the what, why, and how of warp and weft. Students will complete several small projects, and acquire the skills needed to continue exploring tapestry weaving on their own.
Join us to celebrate nature’s gifts and fiber transformation at the Fiber Craft Studio’s Tenth Sheep and Wool Festival. Child-friendly craft activities, a petting zoo and pony rides, live music, local craft vendors, and delicious food.
This plant dye workshop will highlight the plants and dyeing projects that are especially characteristic of fall. The day will start with an end-of-season harvest of flowers, leaves, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. Back at the Studio, we will dye a variety of natural materials with our harvest from the garden.

Both methods ask for intentions, be they therapeutic, meditative, or reflective; experiencing and practicing both methods can lead participants on a journey to find our own center.
