In ten Saturday workshops from September to June, we design and sew four garments using four natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool, and silk) to create a complete outfit. Over the course of the year we experience different sewing techniques, plant dyeing, and embroidery as we create our own unique fabric and garments.
An exhibition at of new work by community artist Bonnie Manaças, tracing her exploration of the new medium of oil and cold wax. At the opening on September 14, join Bonnie for a demonstration and talk about her evolving relationship with this medium. Light refreshments will be served.
Bring your fiber, textile, or clothing item to the Studio to dye. A black walnut dye pot, light beige to brown, will be ready for you.

April Saladino returns to the Studio to share the intricate netting techniques she employs in designing her own jewelry. Join us for a day of quiet looping to create a small pouch of plant-dyed linen. This workshop is for people aged sixteen and older.
