We are hosting young artists and musicians for three to six months, providing space for them to pursue self directed projects. During this evening that we have prepared for you Laura Summer will hold an Art Dispersal and the current residents will perform original music, and present their painting and ceramics work. Come learn more and support our new program.
In this course, we'll design and sew garments using cotton, linen, wool, and silk. We’ll draft patterns and hand-sew, practicing a meditative approach. Explore sewing techniques, plant dyeing, and embroidery to create unique pieces. Classes include inspiring activities for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artisans.
Over the course of ten classes, students in the Art of Clothing course have designed, created, and hand-sewn their own garments from cotton, wool, silk, and linen. Come to Orchard House to admire their artistic handwork and the lovely apparel fashioned with the new skills they have acquired.
Learn and practice biodynamic agriculture on the oldest biodynamically stewarded and cultivated land in North America. Richly embedded within the Threefold Community in Spring Valley, NY, The Pfeiffer Center’s one-year, part-time practical training enables farmers and gardeners of any variety and experience level to put Rudolf Steiner’s agriculture lectures into practice.
All are welcome to join in celebrating a Whitsun festival with singing by Jen Zimberg, Eurythmy led by Dorothea Mier, and a sharing by individuals about their work in relation the theme: The Polarity of Movement and Rest with contributions from Dhruva Corrigan, Zachary Dolphin, Meggan Gill, and Sean Goddard; followed by a conversation.
Open to anyone interested in Waldorf early childhood education, including current and prospective teachers, parents, grandparents, and caregivers.

This part-time, four-year professional training for handwork teachers meets for two weeks each summer and one week each winter, covering two grades per year.
