UNDERSTANDING LIVING NATURE AND COSMIC RHYTHMS: In the morning Craig Holdrege explores how to work with the living dynamic qualities of plants and animals to better understand the world around us.
This year’s course will take place on one Saturday a month, over eight months. We will wash and card raw wool, learn how to spin on a spindle, and practice techniques for controlling the quality of the yarn. We will have a chance to dye some of our wool and create a small knitted or crocheted project. |

In this course, we design and sew three garments using natural fibers of cotton, linen, and wool, and make a shawl or scarf using silk to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working. |
