Mac Mead introduces biodynamics in the context of the spiritual-scientific understanding of the human being and earth evolution. In the garden we will do hands-on work with making and applying the biodynamic horn manure preparation, transplanting, forming raised beds, and cover cropping.
This workshop is an introduction to the dye plants and dyeing projects that are characteristic of the end of summer. We will start the day harvesting flowers, leaves, and roots from our biodynamic dye plant garden. As we deepen our acquaintance and receive the beautiful colors of the plants, we feel the healing energy of the plant world.
Children deepen their handwork skills while taking on increasingly independent projects. Emphasis is placed on craftsmanship, creativity, and perseverance.
Children will gather each week to explore seasonal handwork, cooking, and nature-based activities inspired by the rhythms of autumn. Through hands-on projects, creative exploration, and shared experiences, students will develop practical skills, artistic confidence, and meaningful connections with their peers while celebrating the richness of the season.

As we transition, with the breathing of the seasons between summer and winter, join us for speech and tone eurythmy to celebrate autumn.
This class is designed for children in Grades 1–8 who would like to experience the rich handwork curriculum of a Waldorf school. Students will learn from experienced Waldorf-trained handwork teachers through an age-appropriate curriculum similar to that taught in Waldorf schools.
Children explore a variety of traditional handcrafts through joyful, hands-on activities that strengthen fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence.

Monday September 25 at 7:30 pm in the Threefold Auditorium will be the first of four evening sessions bringing to life the history of the Threefold Community through the biographies of its institutions with presentations by individuals active today in the different areas.
In this course, we design and sew three garments using natural fibers of cotton, linen, and wool, and make a shawl or scarf using silk to create a complete outfit. Drafting simple patterns and sewing by hand gives us the opportunity to center ourselves and practice a meditative way of working.
